How to mine Etica (ETI)

The only thing you need to start mining Etica (ETI) is an ethereum public address. Moreover you will need to connect to Etica Network to assess your Eticas balance and move it.
This section assumes you have an etica address or you already know how to get an etica address. If you don't, check first part of the section how to connect.

Etica Miners

There is currently one main miner you can use to mine Etica (ETI). It is SoliditySha3 Miner upgraded by Dmitry, it works on linux and also on windows.

SoliditySha3 ETI Miner Installation (Linux & Windows)

Step One

Download .zip or .tar-gz file from Github: SoliditySHA3MinerEticaOptimised Github

Step Two

Extract zip files (unzip) and go to SoliditySha3 folder

For windows:
Click to Edit EticaPool8081.cmd

For Linux:
Click to Edit EticaPool8081Linux.sh

Step Six

For windows:
Replace the address field with your etica PUBLIC key (not the private key!)
Save the file (EticaPool8081.cmd)

For Linux:
Scroll to the right of the file, find and replace address=0x9172ff7884CEFED19327aDaCe9C470eF1796105c by address=youraddresshere
Save the file (EticaPool8081Linux.sh)

Step Seven

Launch the miner.

For Windows:
Right click on EticaPool8081.cmd and then click on run as admin. A black windows like the one bellow should appear.
Your miner is now mining Eticas and you don't have to do anything else. The mining pool will automatically send you ETI on the address you provided.

For Linux:
Run EticaPool8081Linux.sh. A black windows like the one bellow should appear.
Your miner is now mining Eticas and you don't have to do anything else. The mining pool will automatically send you ETI on the address you provided.

Step Eight

Check your Hashrate and rewards

To check your hashrate and your ETI rewards: http://eticapool.com/profile/enter_your_address_here
To check how much Etica you have on your address: https://www.eticascan.org/address/enter_your_address_here
You can also double check your ETI balance on your Metamask wallet or your Etica GUI wallet

Specific to Windows

On windows you might have an error about .NET Core 2.2 Runtime (v2.2.1) missing.
If your miner command line is stuck and there is an error message about this.
Go on this page to download and install .NET Core 2.2 Runtime (v2.2.1) After this install restart your miner and it should work

Create Wallet:

Chose ETI (or create it) as your “Coin” and add your ETI Address and your Name.

How to mine Egaz (EGAZ)

How to get an Etica address:

The only thing you need to start mining EGAZ is an etica public address.
This section assumes you have an etica address or you already know how to get an etica address.

lolMiner Egaz Installation

egaz miners: lolMiner

This is a tutorial on how to mine EGAZ on windows but lolMiner also works on linux and the steps should be the same.
EGAZ is the crypto currency that secures and enable to pay for transaction fees on Etica Blockchain

Step One

Download Egaz Miner zip file from repository.

Step Two

Extract zip files (unzip) and go to lolMiner folder

Open the miner

Replace with mining pool address egazpool.ddns.net:8008 (don't add http) & your public key (not private key!)

Once you have replaced these fields, save the file and you are ready to start mining EGAZ

Step Six

Launch the miner.
Double click on miiner_etc file to launch the miner

Step Seven

Your miner is now mining EGAZ and you don't have to do anything else. The mining pool will automatically send you EGAZ on the address you provided.

To check your hashrate and shares:

Go on (http://egazpool.ddns.net/#/account/your_etica_address_here) to see your hashrate and your shares. The EGAZ mining pool wil send you EGAZ automtically

To check your balance:

Go on https://www.eticascan.org and enter your address to see how much Etica you have on your address.
Or you can also check your Etica balance on your Metamask wallet

How to mine EGAZ on HiveOS

Mining EGAZ is pretty straight forward. Most people have mined ETH or ETC before. EGAZ is an ETC Algo and will run on your standard miners:

Nvidia: Bzminer, lolminer, T-Rex, NBminer
AMD: TeamRedMiner, Bzimer, lolminer, NBminer

Step One

Create Wallet:

Choose a custom Coin like "EGAZ" and add your ETI Address and your Name:

Step Two

Use the same configs as you have on windows:

Hash: I found you can chose either ETChash OR ETHash - both work
Pool URL: URL: http://egazpool.ddns.net
Port: 8008
Wallet: well, chose your wallet here
Pool: http://eticapool.com:8081
Extra config: -ethstratum=ETHPROXY (it also works without)
